I had a unique experience staying at a boat hotel in Prague. The views of the river were absolutely stunning, especially at night. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet, allowing me to get a good night's sleep. The location of the hotel was fantastic, with the old town just a short walk away. The staff, particularly the night receptionist and the airport driver, were very friendly and helpful. For the price, it was definitely a great value option for a budget city break. I would recommend this hotel.

I have already reviewed this hotel. Just wanted to put right a few inaccuracies on this site. There are no ironing facilities in the rooms but you can pay for clothes to be ironed. It also stated kitchen facilities in bedrooms, there isn't any, not even tea-making facilities. Not all rooms overlook the river.
Location - situated on the river. Lovely views across the river. Handy for getting around.
No tea-making facilities which I would've liked. No hairdryer in bedroom but you are able to borrow one.

I must say, the value for money at this hotel was amazing. We got a really good deal for our stay and the room was very comfortable. The location was spot on, close enough to the center but still quiet and peaceful. The staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.
Hotel breakfast could have been better, but apart from that, our stay was perfect.

I stayed there with my 12 year old and he loved the adventure of it -- the view of the river, the party boats passing by, the fishermen in the morning mist, the trains passing over the bridge and up the hill, the lightning and storm waves at night. I liked the Ostie nostalgia feel. The woman at the desk was multilingual and moved our room to the river side when we asked.
The coffee was thin and stale, but the onion soup for breakfast -- not to be missed. My son passed on that and had cookies and pudding. There was also yogurt and granola and fruit salad, and some breads and cold cuts and hot dogs, but the "orange juice" was just sugar water. The bottom panel of our window afforded a great view but the top panel was cloudy (perhaps a washing would help?)

Very good location - right in the heart of old Prague. Wonderful view from the windows on the Vltava. Rather nice and cosy rooms.
Poor comfort - in the rooms there are no even hair dryers not to mention electric kettles. There is also no WiFi in the rooms, only in public places, and that is very inconvenient if the Internet is needed for work. Вut if you need a minimum of amenities at a low price - this is a very good option to stay at Prague.

Good about the hotel is its position, and the bed is suprisingly comfortable ( it does not looks comfortable )
The room is small , very small and you must open window - otherwise it becomes a bit stinking Breakfast is mediocre , and room does not include fridge or kettle

Convenient location, close to city center and public transport. Nice river view from rooms. Limited seating for breakfast at peak times. Comfortable and clean rooms. Affordable prices.

The hotel was shabby but cute - I loved it - the whole boat thing was great fun and the views from the bar deck were super. We were central but apart from the noise and bustle. Having a driver on hand (very reasonably priced) was so convenient. Free wifi in public areas very handy. Manageress extremely helpful and knowledgeable about Prague. All the public rooms were really comfy and down to earth so one always felt relaxed.
Some staff were a little surly but that is a Czech thing. The hotel bar closed at 11.30 on Friday night (!) Breakfast was a little basic for british taste (no eggs, orange squash instead of juice, crap tea) but the Danes and Germans seemed to love it so maybe a cultural thing. No tea making facilities in room so as bar shuts early theres no way to get a hot drink at night. That was a major downside!

Value for money was great and the room was spacious and comfortable. The location was convenient and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast selection could be improved with a greater variety of options.

Beautiful view of the river and the Prague skyline. Excellent location.
Staff was a little cranky. When we asked for a room facing the river and a double bed (since we were a couple), the lady at the reception pointed out that we had not mentioned this in our booking and it could not be done. But it was done eventually anyway. The beds are not double beds, but two combined beds with a gap in between. The breakfast was ok. The hotel doesn't serve Czech food which was a shame, the lunch was ordinary for me.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
